This one-hour training session prepares note-takers hired by the Office of Accessibility (OA):
  • to understand note-taking as a part of the services provided by the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE), 
  • to understand the responsibilities of an OA note-taker, 
  • to know how to scan and upload notes into Accommodate, and 
  • to know how complete the time sheet correctly in order to be paid in a timely manner. 
All note-takers hired for the 2019 Autumn or Fall terms must complete the new note-taker training session in Moodle, and all note-takers hired subsequently must renew their training annually. Credo Instruct is a web-based information literacy tutorial tool that enables faculty to incorporate info lit content into their course Moodle page.  Modules walk students through the content, and include quizzes that can be used for course credit.  Modules can be used to supplement existing face-to-face lessons with librarians, or used on their own.
